Wendy J. Caffee is spinner, knitter, tatter, weaver. As a child, she kept busy with any kits and crafts that were available. She picked up knitting again as an adult in the late 80’s and started spinning in 1992. She explored bobbin lace, weaving, dying, felting, battenberg lace and other techniques to satisfy the need to create. She is an active member of the Genesee Valley Handspinners Guild since 1993. Her interest in flax began many years ago while assisting with the demonstration at an early Finger Lakes Fiber Festival. Now, she demonstrates the processing of flax and spinning linen at least a few times per year., growing a small amount as needed. She can usually be seen with her current companion, a Great Pyrenees dog named Nikko.
