Class Description: Learn the most magical process of wet felting in this beginner 2 hours course! We will start with fine merino wool and silk fibers and transform it into a lovely felt flower, using just warm water, soap and bubble wrap! Beautiful!


Materials Supplied

$20 for full class kit which includes bubble wrap, soap, wool, color instructions and use of water bottles and my felting tools OR $10 for partial kit which includes all supplies but does NOT include wool. Those that wish to buy the partial supply kit will need to bring 2oz of NON-SUPERWASH 21 micron or finer merino wool in green and floral tones to class. Supply fee payable to the instructor on the day of class.

Supplies to Bring

Please bring a clean but old bath towel to absorb soapy water and a plastic shopping bag to carry your wet towel and project home.

About the Instructor: Suzanne O’Brien

Suzanne O’Brien is a fiber artist and creates handmade wool felt gift items and hand dyed yarn and fiber for her business, ZanieCrafts. She enjoys working with fine wool and silk fibers, creates with a lot of color and often includes reclaimed, recycled and found items in her work to make her ideas come to life. Suzanne Teaches Wet Felting in Buffalo and the surrounding area and has had work featured in Fiber Art Now Magazine, and has won several local Art Show and Gallery awards for her sculptural pieces.
