Interested in Rigid Heddle Weaving? This is the class for you! You’ll learn everything you need to know to start and complete a successful weaving project. We’ll go over the parts of the loom, how to calculate yardage, warping, plain weave and finishing. If there is time, we’ll learn a few extra weaving techniques.

Materials Supplied

Materials fee to be paid to the instructor at time of class: $10 - which includes the skein of yarn you will use for your weaving project during the class.

Supplies to Bring

Supplies you need to bring: You may bring your own rigid heddle loom with stand, 8 dent heddle, warping peg, 2 shuttles and a pick up stick. If you don't own a rigid heddle loom you may request to borrow or pre-purchase one from the instructor. Contact Anita at

About the Instructor: Anita Lopez-Conheady

Anita Lopez-Conheady is the woman behind Bad Wolf Yarn, specializing in Kromski Spinning Wheels and Looms. She can typically be found spinning and weaving with locally sourced and conservation breed wools at her 19th ward home studio. Having won awards at both the Finger Lakes Fiber Festival and Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival she is delighted to be able to share her love of fiber through teaching.
