Instructor: Liz Yockel
Skill Level: Beginner
Cost: $35, $20 for yarn and use of dyes for materials
Class Description: We will cover the basics of dyeing with plant materials (vegetarian friendly – no cochineal) on wool. Our focus will be on plant materials that are easy to obtain, some of which we can harvest ourselves. The color palette will be fall inspired, heavy on the orange-red-yellow end of the spectrum. We will dye mini skeins in each of the plant dyes, which will give you enough yarn to take home and make a project.
Class SizeMinimum: 7, Maximum: 12
About the Instructor: Liz Yockel
Liz Yockel is the owner of The Fuzzy Bunny and the Honeoye Craft Lab, where she teaches spinning and knitting, among other things, and dyes many pounds of fiber each year.
