This class unlocks unlimited possibilities for personalizing your knitting! Students will learn basic embroidery and duplicate stitching. These skills can be applied to both knitted fabric and felted or fulled fabric. Students will create two samplers of the stitches for later reference. Stitches will include Duplicate Stitch, Daisy, French Knot, Running Stitch, Back Stitch and Blanket Stitch.
Materials SuppliedMaterials fee payable to the instructor on the day of the class.
Supplies to BringScrap fingering and worsted weight yarn (if possible, in several colors), large eyed needle that fits yarn, sharp scissors. Students will need to knit and block 2 swatches before class on which to practice the skills. The swatches should be about 5” X 3.75”. Knit in Stockinette with worsted weight yarn.

About the Instructor: Victoria Boehmer
Victoria is a fiber artist who teaches knitting, spinning, fiber preparation and many other fiber arts. She has owned a flock of Shetland sheep, a travelling yarn store and taught a variety of fiber arts to both adults and children. Victoria has continued to expand her knitting skills by working toward her Master Hand Knitting certification. Along with her fiber pursuits, she homeschools and runs her family’s homestead in Pennsylvania.
