In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting and apply them to make simple felted gnome. Your finished gnome will be approximately 6” tall and is made with dyed cormo and some Lincoln long wool locks for the beard.

Deborah Hartmann is a 3D artist who first began needle and wet felting over 20 years ago. She enjoys figural sculpting in a wide variety of media, both synthetic and natural, but is very partial to fiber. She has taught needle felting and other arts and crafts classes at local venues as well as at fiber festivals such as the Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck NY. In recent years she has been busy building props, costumes and set pieces for local theatre.
