In this class, participants will learn to read crochet patterns and charts. Additional skills will include crochet-in-the-round, changing colors, gauge, tracking work, edging, seaming, and blocking.

Materials fee payable to the instructor on the day of the class.

Supplies to Bring

Supplies you need to bring: Hooks: crochet hooks in various sizes. Yarn: DK or worsted weight yarn; dark and light colors; no textured yarns. Notions: snippers, yarn needle, stitch holders, stitch gauge, highlighter.

About the Instructor: Dianna Sand, Ed.D.

Dianna completed the Crochet Guild of America’s Master of Crochet Program in 2011. Since then, she established Knitting Hearts Together Ministries, where she teaches adults and children to knit and crochet projects in support of church ministries. Through this ministry, knit and crochet projects have been distributed to church leaders and children around the world. Professionally, Dr. Sand is a teacher-educator and researcher, focusing on reading skills and strategies that adult and college students need to be successful.
