Thank You, Thank You! - The festival committee thanks everyone who helped to make this year's fest a success. Thanks to our vendors for all the beautiful things you brought for us, and to our volunteers- we couldn't do it without all of you. Thanks to our demonstrators- you all add so much to the weekend- and to our contest judges for your time and expertise. To Bud, Jim and all the guys at the fairgrounds who do so much grunt work for us preparing the site- you guys are awesome! And to our on-site nurse who is there ready to help us if we need her. Thanks to all the local guilds who participate- you are really an important part of this festival! Thanks to all our festival advertisers, we appreciate your patronage. And thanks to our food vendors for feeding us so well all weekend. (Your webmistress, for one, doesn't need to eat for another week!) Thanks so much to all the musicians who come and play- we love having you there. The horse & wagon rides, the sheep dog herding- thank you both for being there again. And to our workshop instructors- thanks for bringing your love of fiber arts to others through your classes. The committee especially thanks our wonderful families who understand all the work that goes into this festival and who encouage and support us all year long while we plan for it, and happily come and help us during the weekend because they know how much we love to put this festival on. And to all of our fairgoers- thank you all so much for coming out to our festival and sharing the time with us!
Festival Meeting - The festival committee met on January 25. We have a few additions to the committee and some duties are shuffling around. Tina Turner will be in charge of the Food Vendors; Bob Geiger will be taking over the Farmer's Market; and Sandy Moore will be taking on the position of guild liason to give Denise more time to work solely with the vendors. Pat gave us a report on last year's income and expenses and we talked about deadlines for the workshop proposals, and getting the other applications updated and posted here. Your webmistress will post every form as soon as she gets it.
Fleece Competition - Winners for 2009 are posted here.
Farmer's Market - Our Farmer's Market, added to the festival two years ago, was very successful. A few of the farmers sold out of produce because it was so popular. Bob Geiger is now in charge of this event. If you're a farmer and would like to participate, the registration forms for 2010 are posted. Email Bob with any questions.
Food Vendors - Tina Turner is in charge of our Food Vendors. Contact her if you have any questions. Your forms for 2010 are here.
